I am Marquis Cole aka C-Steeles. I was Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I’ve been writing raps for as long as I can remember but I was about 18 when I started recording. I started out in a rap group named the “Mil-Boyz” with some of my high school friends. I later became a solo artist and have released 5 projects to date.

What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
It was the way music made me feel as a kid. I wasn’t into comic books or sports like most people my age at the time. Rappers were like super heros to me. It was 1 of the few things I remember as a child that brought people together. Music was always being played or talked about no matter where I was. It made me want to write and make music and give people something to talk about.
What are your biggest musical influences?
My biggest musical Influences are the things I see and live. Most of what I write about are things that I’ve experienced firsthand.
Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
I’m an independent artist releasing music through my own label Made Gang Entertainment.
What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
My biggest challenge is trying not to spread myself thin. I really be trying to do everything myself and end up exhausted in the end. It’s also challenging at times being patient and trusting the process of all the money spent, and all the long hours of writing/recording in the studio.
How many songs or albums have you released to date?
I’ve released 3 Albums (“Certified Arrival”, “The day the Earth Stood Steeles’, & “Nothing is New All Over Again”) and 2 EP’s (“Milwaukee’s Own” & “C-S”)
Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
My latest Project “C-S” was released March 25th. I feel like it’s my most thorough body of work. It’s 5 tracks but still offers enough for whatever your vibe is. My best in my opinion.
Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
I am currently working on my next 2 projects, but my main focus is promoting my music that is already out. I will be releasing videos for every song on my “C-S” ep over the next couple months.
