Well, I come from a small town called Spartanburg. Everybody knows everybody, and even if you don’t want to know anybody you’ll still know everybody. Here your future is either sports or drug dealing there’s no in between. Now, I was not good at sports or dealing. So I chose the one that was the safest bet which was sports. I started working out and doing my thing. At 16 I then realized I didn’t want to play football or basketball. I wanted to make music. I came to this conclusion when I was working out one day and I was blasting Tech N9ne through my headphones. I got picked on so much for liking Tech N9ne, but to me, it was perfect workout music. I feel like it was perfect music in general for the average teenager. But my teammates picking on my taste in music is what motivated me to make music. It just so happens that I’m a pretty decent wordsmith.
