Dwight Gordon is a passionate songwriter, singer, keyboardist and recording artist born in Silk Grass, Belize.
Where are you based?
I’m based in Stann Creek District, Belize Central America but wish to perform internationally.
How long have you been making music?
Been singing since age 5 and playing the keyboard and a little guitar since age 17.
What genre would you consider your music to be?
Everything from Country, Latin, Reggae, R&B, Contemporary Gospel, Pop.
What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
My love and passion for music. Nothing makes me happier than to sing and play my instrument.
What are your biggest musical influences?
Definitely Elton John, Charley Pride and Barry White.
Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
I’m an Independent artist Represented by my own label, ” Dwight Gordon Music. ”
What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
Just promoting my music without finance.
How many songs or albums have you released to date?
I have released 28 songs up to date, but have written quite a few more that I definitely intend to release in the future.
Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
The latest songs I released are a Country song named “Say It Loud And Say It Again” “A Reggae, Dancehall song named ” Jiggle both original and a soul song called “Suddenly ” Which was partially written by Billy Ocean and also recorded by him.
Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
I have many songs already written that I intend to release. I’m thinking about recording and releasing my Country Song called “Yellow Brick Road” next. I’ll definitely keep the music coming.
