Eileen Carey is a multi-award winning, radio chart topping pop country singer-songwriter from Altadena, California whose last single “Leave It All Behind” topped both the New Music Weekly. Country and AC/Hot AC Her music is catchy, danceable, positive and honest. She has been described by Elmore Magazine as “a little bit cosmopolitan, a little bit country, and a whole lotta musical chameleon, one who effortlessly blends pop, rock, and country music.” As PopDose put it “Blending pop, country, and rock in a music that feels uniquely hers.”

She has shared stages with everyone from Rita Coolidge, Don Mclean, Jefferson Starship, Ambrosia, Little River Band and the Motels, among many more. She is also no stranger to the Honkytonks of Nashville and plays many of the California fairs each year.

What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
I was booking entertainment for a large hotel chain, and realized I could sing better than the people I was booking, and write better tunes. I was here in Los Angeles to work in the film industry, but I couldn’t ignore my love of music over all things. I was a drummer in school and was in many school and church productions.

What are your biggest musical influences?
Radio pop music. I like songs. Women like Cheryl Crowe, Martha Davis, Chrissie Hynde. The Beatles. Keith Urban’s career and music influences me as well.

Independent

What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
Motherhood, and to some degree country radio back in the day

Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
Inspiration starts with one person. It has a sense of magic to it that is undeniable. That is what my newest single brings to its listeners — the essence of an uplifting journey. The magic is in those red headphones!
