Born and raised in Chicago, 17 year old Jay Smoove has been a fan of Hip Hop/Rap, as his Mother would tell him, “Since he was in the womb”. Since R&B, Hip Hop/Rap and House Music was pretty much all that was played in his household, it was inevitable, that he would use his natural skill set(that was discovered at a young age), to make this his career path.

I’ve always been good at writing things that can grab people’s attention (essays, short stories etc.). And I’ve loved hip hop since I could remember. Plus I hate that the rap game is just a bunch of negative topics (drugs, misogyny, murder etc.) and I want to step away from the narrative and redefine the genre.
