Luke Judy is a 16-year-old actor, singer, musician & songwriter who lives in LA. He and his sister Savannah Judy (17) recently formed the Indie rock duo DUPLEXITY.

Where are you based?
We live and are based out of Beverly Hills, CA. We moved to LA with our parents for acting opportunities in 2013.

How long have you been making music?
The first time I performed a song live I was 6 or 7 but I didn’t start making music until Duplexity. There is nothing else like performing your own songs on stage, it is the best!

What genre would you consider your music to be?
Duplexity’s genre is alternative rock with a mix of punk rock in some songs.

What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
We have always been surrounded by music. I started taking voice lessons in Florida before I even started acting. In 2013 I started playing the piano. Once we were old enough we went to The School Of Rock for their performance program. After the pandemic we formed a garage band with our friends to perform at a party. It was after this performance that I was hooked. This is how Duplexity was formed.

What are your biggest musical influences?
There are so many bands that I like and have many musical influences from Metallica to Pearl Jam. My biggest influence is my sister Savannah Judy. She is the one who first started playing the guitar, writing songs and making music.

Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
We are an independent artist.

What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
So far the biggest challenge has been time management and building a new skill set. Anytime you take on a new endeavor, you have to not only learn the skills required to perform the tasks but also how to work them into your daily schedule.

How many songs or albums have you released to date?
We released our debut single ‘Billboards’. On Sept 8th we are releasing our second single ‘Drop The Act’. Both are streaming on all platforms.

Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
Inspired by a real-life experience, Savannah had the idea for Drop the Act. It is the age-old tale of being enamored with someone and exhausting yourself trying to look for signs that they feel the same. It’s an upbeat, fiery, modern rock song that will make anyone who hears it feel the same exasperation that is felt when you are being played. Savannah is lead vocals on this single.

Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
We have the third single off our debut EP releasing Oct 13th called ‘Demons’ This song I am signing lead vocals. It’s a moody song about your inner demons. I think it is a song that everyone will relate to. Also our 5 song EP titled ‘Billboards’ drops Oct 20th.
