In Peter’s roles as a solo-artist, film-composer, guitarist, orchestrator, and producer, he has garnered praise for successfully crossing over musical boundaries. He is just as comfortable writing a piece for symphonic orchestra as he is laying down a wailing blues solo on guitar. Peter’s music has been heard on hundreds of radio stations and has been on SiriusXM rotation for over a decade. As a multi-award winning artist, Peter’s music has also topped Billboard’s Classical and Crossover charts.

The diverse nature of Peter’s genre-bending compositions has attracted a wide range of talented guest artists who frequently appear on his releases as well as his SymphoneX Orchestra® project. Peter recently recorded with the great legendary jazz-trumpeter Shunzo Ohno for an upcoming fusion release, composed a 6-movement classical work for social justice recorded by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra and is currently working on a concerto for classical guitar – all while getting ready to score the next feature-film produced by JawDoc productions.

USA

25 years

What genre would you consider your music to be?
Classical & Jazz-Fusion

What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
I started guitar lessons at age nine, and gravitated towards rock and fusion music in my teenage years. Then at 16 I decided to pursue music as a career and switched over to classical-guitar as was required for the college music program I would be applying to.

What are your biggest musical influences?
As a guitarist, Paul Galbraith, Pat Metheny, Yamandu Costa. As a composer, Vaughn-Williams, David Diamond, Joaquín Rodrigo, Hans Zimmer, Alan Silvestri, John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, Ennio Morricone, & Leonard Bernstein.

Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
Signed to MusicWithNoExpiration.com®

What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
Musicians need to be better compensated – the streaming model is tilted toward pop and rap genres where tens of millions of streams can give a good royalty return, however, classical and jazz genres would seldom ever hit those type of numbers.

How many songs or albums have you released to date?
4 Albums

Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
‘Children Of Conflict’ is a musical work for social justice to bring attention to the plight of ‘children of conflict’ around the globe. It’s an important message of the innocents who every day suffer all over the world who are at the mercy of rogue dictators and corrupt governments. To remind people of these children whose lives have been indescribably altered, their parents either gone, or so traumatized they are struggling to simply cope with the ever changing patchwork their lives and futures have become. Current events in Ukraine and Afghanistan were the impetus for the Albums creation. Each movement is recorded in a 4K music-video that plays an integral role in reinforcing the music’s message (see link to latest music).

Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
Yes – I recorded an album with the legendary jazz trumpeter Shunzo Ohno and bassist extraordinaire Max Gerl to be released in 2023. Also recorded another ‘music for social justice’ album with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra to be released in 2024.
