In her new self-produced album, Bend to the Light, Linda Debella has created an uplifting album that muses about the swept away feeling of illicit love, while also contemplating our connection to others in confronting larger social issues. With a looser, groovier sound in this outing, she’s unfettered by pop conventions as she blends synths with weaving guitars, pianos, hooky choruses and layers of vocals to create a groove-pop sound that’s uniquely hers.
