‘Spirit Haus’ is a spooky rock, disco, hip hop record about a young group of friends on a “trip” to visit a haunted house in the desert, all told through the poetic word spoken style of Morrison Reed. They begin their journey taking acid for the first time and going to a new years eve party which turns out to be uneventful, they go to a night club a pool party and they end up robbing a safe with guns and one of them falls in love with the other during this escapade. After the wild journey they end up at a beach club where they come-down from their crazy bender which ends up finishing on the instrumental tracks at the end to round-up the earlier catastrophes.
It is a space-western-tripomatica record which incorporates psychedelic rock, hip hop, electronic and alternative sounds which is era-undefinable. Morrison Reed takes you on a journey through the spooky disco-esque portrait, unravelling poetry and storytelling in satire which appeals to the trippers, the swank and the ill-perceived for the listener who likes to challenge status-quo and expand their mind. If you like loud, layered rock music with a spicy satirical kick then Morrison Reed is for you.
Morrison Reed is a sydney based musician, who likes to take a little adventure into the intergalactic transmission’s of time and space, he also likes bars and playing pool with a whiskey sour and an umbrella.
