Scorched Waves Releases Debut Album “Televised Paradise”
Stevens Point, Wis. Indie rock band, Scorched Waves’ debut album “Televised Paradise” released this weekend.
“Televised Paradise” establishes a new sound for the band that encapsulates all five members’ unique music tastes.
“The album combines modern alternative music stylings with sounds from the early two thousands post-punk scene,” says lead guitarist, Tyler Armstrong. “This album will speak to anyone who has grown up or listened to alternative rock anytime from 2000 to today.”
Lyrically, “Televised Paradise” tackles various life experiences. These include blackmail, being confused in relationships, love, summer and living in the moment. The album aims to contrast idealistic and carefree life with a darker, more realistic outlook on our society and culture.
This latest effort comprises music written both before and during the pandemic. The lockdown encouraged the band to begin working independently, mastering both recording and producing on their own.

About Scorched Waves Scorched Waves is an indie rock band based in Stevens Point, Wis. Featuring: Tyler Armstrong, Al Vuorinen, Jaren Wojcik, Damian Kessler and Tiernan Brinkman. Scorched Waves have played everywhere from airplane hangars, to universities, to Summerfest. The quintet has comparable sounds to the likes of Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, The Bravery and The Kooks offering a unique blend of Indie/Alternative Rock, Post Punk, and Pop Punk.
