I was born in Mexico City and since I was a little kid I loved the sound of the guitar. When I was 13 years old I got one for Christmas and started practicing. By the time I was 16 years old I was completely obsessed with my guitar so I did the exam for studying classical music in the prestigious Mexican Conservatory of Music (Escuela Nacional de Música de la UNAM) and got in. I was so happy to finally being able to fulfill my dream of studying music and I had a bright future ahead of me, winning a couple of national guitar contests but everything went to shit when I got paralyzed and went blank during the finals of another very important national guitar contest. I experienced the nightmare of every musician, being in front of the most important people of classical music in Mexico and feeling ashamed of not being able to finish my song. The trauma was so big for me that I quit the conservatory and abandoned music completely for 15 years. During that time I went and studied another career and worked as a financial advisor and as a Marketing Manager for several years. Although my heart was broken during that time, music was always there. My dream transformed into being able to save and retire at 60 years old from my job so I could build for myself a cool ass music studio and spend the rest of my days experimenting and recording music. After a close encounter with death during the end COVID Pandemic I realized that life isn’t guaranteed for anyone so after a couple of years I got the courage to quit my job and started building my music studio. It’s been 3 years since and I’ve been recording my own songs and also working as a producer, musicalizing documentaries
