What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
All the things I’ve been through. I’ve been through and seen many things that I wish I hadn’t. I’ve seen tons of people come and go due to drugs or gang violence. Where I’m from, gangs and drugs hold a big influence over most individuals in the city. When I was younger I was introduced to gangs and gang violence and I just want to tell my story because I have a lot to share that I feel many people can relate to. Wether it’s just having fun or telling a story.
What are your biggest musical influences?
A lot of west coast/ Bay Area rappers like Ray Luv, Mac Mall, Mac Dre and Drakeo the Ruler. But I also have a lot of east coast influences like Biggie Smalls, DMX, Nas, Mobb Deep, and Big Pun.
Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
Independent
What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
At first, I found it challenging to settle down and take music seriously. It took a lot to put my issues aside and focus on music. The street life is a big part of where I grew up and it took a while to get away from that.

Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
My latest release “Like That” is about people who claim to be from the same background as me but they clearly aren’t. I’ve met many people like that and it’s always bothered me.
